The Pickford Fairbanks home

This uber famous home in Beverly Hills served as the residence for two of Hollywood’s pioneers, Mark Pickford and Douglas Fairbanks Jr.

The home is at the intersection of Summit Drive and Pickfair Way, which may give some indication as to their influence in the blossoming days of this entertainment capital. Mary Pickford, a Canadian actress from Toronto, co-founded the production studio United Artists and was one of the founding members of “The Academy” (the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences).

She married Douglas Fairbanks Jr. on March 28, 1920. Douglas was the original Robin Hood and Zorro, and became known as the King of Hollywood.
